Boletin semanal oceanografico y biologico - pesqueroEl Boletín Semanal Oceanográfico y Biológico Pesquero (BS OBP) es un producto de la Dirección General de Investigaciones Oceanográficas y Cambio Climático (DGIOCC) y de la Dirección de Investigaciones en Recursos Pelágicos (DGIRP) del Instituto del Mar del Perú (IMARPE).
Este producto presenta la evolución de variables físicas en la superficie del océano y atmósfera, así como de la estructura físico-química del océano en una estación costera fija a 11 km de Paita -lugar referente del mar peruano para la vigilancia climática asociada a El Niño-Oscilación del Sur- con el fin de comprender los efectos de la variabilidad de corto plazo en las condiciones oceanográficas y biológico-pesqueras del mar peruano.
Esta información se sustenta en las redes observacionales que administra el IMARPE y que se han fortalecido en el marco del Programa Presupuesto Por Resultados - PPR 068 El Niño “Reducción de Vulnerabilidad y Atención de Emergencias por Desastres” y su producto “Entidades Informadas en forma permanente y con pronósticos frente al Fenómeno El Niño”.
Índices oceanográficos y pesqueros locales así como regionales y de macroescala y relevante información satelital complementan las observaciones in situ.
El Boletín espera contribuir a mejorar el conocimiento del mar peruano, informar de forma oportuna y permanente a diferentes grupos de interés como gestores, tomadores de decisiones, planificadores, agricultores, emprendedores, pesqueros, científicos y sociedad en general, así como coadyuvar a la gestión del riesgo de desastres naturales del Estado Peruano. Boletín informativo orientado al sector pesquero y a la comunidad en general que reporta la evolución de las condiciones ambientales y la situación de índices climáticos e indicadores biológico - pesqueros en el mar peruano.

Weekly Oceanographic and Biological-Fishery Bulletin (BS OBP)


The Weekly Oceanographic and Biological Fishing Bulletin is a product of the General Directorate of Oceanographic Research and Climate Change (DGIOCC) and the Research Directorate on Pelagic Resources (DGIRP) of the Sea Institute of Peru (IMARPE).
This product presents the evolution of physical variables on the sea surface and atmosphere, as well as the physico-chemical structure of the ocean in a coastal fixed station at 11 km off Paita - a place of reference of the Peruvian sea for climate monitoring and vigilance associated to El Niño-Southern Oscillation - in order to understand the effects of short-term variability in the oceanographic and biological-fishery conditions of the Peruvian sea. This information is supported by the IMARPE observational networks which were strengthened in the framework of the Programa Presupuesto por Resultados - PPR 068 El Niño "Vulnerability Reduction and Disaster Emergency Response" and its product "Informed Entities on a permanent basis and with predictions of El Niño Phenomenon".
Oceanographic and local fisheries and regional and macro-scale indexes and relevant satellite information complement the observations in situ.
The Bulletin expects to contribute to improve the knowledge of the Peruvian sea, inform in a timely and permanent manner to different groups of interest such as managers, decision makers, planners, farmers, entrepreneurs, fishermen, scientists and society in general, as well as contribute to the management of the risk of natural disasters of the Peruvian State.
